![]() RDX - File International recording group RDX is preparing not so much for the upcoming holiday season, but more so for what they predict will be an active 2012.
The duo, who have had successful tours of Central America and Africa in the earlier months of 2011, have been spending most of the recent months in Jamaica, recording a dancehall album, a reggae one drop album and an electronic music EP, all scheduled to be released in 2012. RDX's last big hit in Jamaica was Skip in 2010 but have enjoyed international success in other regions with Movements (Panama and Poland), Turn Your Swag Up (Canada), Deliver Me (Guyana) and For The Girls (Trinidad) all rocking the respective charts. Now enjoying the increasing popularity of recently released songs Shots on the Friendless rhythm and Go Hard Or Go Home, RDX is busy with what they term as 'planting season', while musically and mentally preparing for the turn of the new year. Vocalist Delomar explained: "It's been studio, studio and more studio for the last few months. Working with producers we haven't worked with before and themes we haven't touched on before as well. We see 2011 as a year of growth and I promise you, next year we will surprise a few people, some mad things in the pipeline." There are songs to be released from in-house producers Apt.19, Blaqk Sheep and I Strong as well on labels such as Truckback, Ballaz Prod., DJ Sunshine, Boardhouse, Pay Day and Notice Productions. Deejay Renigade added: "Going out in the world is a great experience but it can negatively impact you back in Jamaica, so all intentions are to feed the people more music, as RDX music doesn't stop at dancing and girls' songs, rather it only started there." The music video for Shots will be released in January as RDX jet off to Poland to kick off their 'European Swag' tour. |
