Duncans All-Age School and host Salt Marsh Primary School made history on Wednesday when they were the only schools to participate in the inaugural Trelawny-Jamaica Volleyball Association (JaVA)-Phillip Greenland Developmental Volleyball Championship at Salt Marsh, Falmouth.

Last-minute cancellation by three other schools resulted in the two playing the best of three eight-minute-per-half-match sets that saw Duncans prevailing 31-22 and 30-26 in straight sets.

The return and deciding leg is set for Duncans All-Age School on Thursday, November 5, starting 9 a.m.

Both teams are guaranteed a spot in the National Finals on Friday, November 27, at a venue to be announced.
