Male charged in robbery of court official |

Rasbert Turner, STAR Writer Investigators in St Catherine have charged the man accused of robbing a female Crown counsel at the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court two weeks ago. Charged with robbery is Christopher Burton, 22, from Spanish Town. Burton was charged following a question-and-answer session at the Spanish Town Police Station. It reported that about 9 a.m. the complainant was on her way to the courthouse when a man walked up and asked for money. The man who had on a mask was given $100. He then hurried from the compound. A report was made to the police, and following an investigation Burton was picked up after he was seen begging at the courthouse. |
