Former National Under-17 midfielder Alex Marshall seems set on capping off the year in fine style.

Marshall has scored 10 goals in the 2015 ISSA-Flow Manning Cup for St George's College (STGC) so far.

All titles

"My hope is to lift all four titles (Manning, Walker Cup, Flow Super Cup, and Olivier Shield) with the help of God," said Marshall, who helped his team to the Walker Cup with a 3-2 defeat of Jamaica College last year.

"We don't call ourselves better than the rest, but we work hard so I think we have a good shot at it," Marshall told STAR Sports.

Marshall said he is looking forward to winning more games for his school, having already made vital assists and scored multiple goals.

"I feel elated because I am listening to the coach's instructions. He says we need to start kicking from the 18-yard box and inside the 18-yard box, so I went out there and executed," he said of his four goals against Eltham and hat-trick against Innswood.

Inspiration

"My mother says I must start to score goals now, and stop passing the ball when I can kick," he added, while outlining that his inspiration comes from "God and my mother".

26 goals so far

Marshall's team has scored 26 goals, while they top Group C with a goal difference superior to Innswood.

However, it was all different for the STGC marksman, who said he felt like quitting football, following his missed penalty against the United States in the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship, which served as a qualifier for the FIFA World Cup.

The 5-4 defeat and Marshall's miss in the penalty shoot-out decider ended Jamaica's bid for a third FIFA Under-17 World Cup appearance.
