Four events for Liquid's birthday

Curtis Campbell, Star Writer

Award-winning selector DJ Liquid will be celebrating his birthday in style this year with as many as four separate parties.

The first party in the series was held yesterday in Ocho Rios, St Ann, at the popular Drink and Rave event and featured recording artiste Demarco.

Liquid heads to Mandeville on Sunday for his second party at the Rack City club, featuring I-Octane and selectors Foota Hype and Niney Badness.

For the next two events, Liquid will travel to the United States. The first event in the US is slated for Grand Café in Pembroke Pines, Florida on October 9. The second will be the following day in Oakland, California at Karibbean City.

According to Liquid, he is expanding his brand of entertainment.

"Nothing is wrong with expanding your brand and your reach. See Major Lazer expand dem brand and it work. But hosting the parties like this, it will give me the opportunity to test my fan base because social media can be misleading," he said.

Now dabbling with music production, Liquid will debut his first album, M Squared, before December. The release date has not yet been confirmed since he wants nothing less than a perfect project.

He said his recording studio, H2O Records, is almost complete.

"Also, look out for M Squared clothing line with hats and shirts. The recording studio is close to 90 per cent complete," he said.
