Pastor recovering after shooting

The pastor who was recently shot during a robbery attempt has been released from hospital.

Reports reaching THE WEEKEND STAR are that the pastor, who was attacked by gunmen in his community of Waltham in Manchester on Tuesday night, is said to be now recovering well from his injuries.

During the incident, which occurred just outside his house, the pastor managed to get the better of the hoodlum, but not before he was shot and injured.

Upper chest

According to sources close to the pastor, the gunman, whose aim was to rob him, shot the pastor twice in the upper chest and right foot. The fire was returned and the gunman was allegedly killed.

The robber has since been identified as Nigel Green of Barnstable District in the parish.

According to the police, Green had previous run-ins with the law as he was charged for the 2010 murder of former Member of Parliament Dr Neil McGill but was acquitted.
