New projects for John Bling |

![]() John Bling - File Curtis Campbell, Star Writer After taking a break from dancing to focus on his book and acting, dancer John Bling, the front man of Black Blingaz, said he is ready to make a return to the dance floor. The dancer, largely credited for the ongoing dancing revival in the dancehall, through his 'We Are the Dance Campaign', said there is no time to make a return like the present. "I wasn't rushing to create any new dances because I had a lot of dance moves that were not yet established, so I was just sitting back, appreciating the fruits of my labour, but I believe now is the right time," he told Dancers Paradise. Record label John Bling recently started a record label, Blingaz Media, and recorded a single, Doosh, by Black Blingaz artiste, Reno Bling. Black Blingaz is also getting ready to release a single, Foot A sleep Pon Gas, produced by Rosh Hour Music, and also has a corresponding dance move. As a part of his comeback trail, John Bling will leave the island next month for a Canadian tour. The tour will also feature dancers Rick Star, Yagga Bling and Latty Roll Yuh Belly, creator of the popular dance move 'Hot Up'. "My idea of this tour is to give some up-and-coming dancers the privilege to exhibit their talents on an international platform, so they can get the experience of travelling and making some money for their families. Latty is the creator of the 'Hot Up' dance, which is one of the hottest female dance moves now, and she's not getting the credit she deserves, or making any money from the dance, so I decided to bring her along with me on this tour," John Bling said. The first show in Canada is booked for October 2 in Toronto at the Sankofa Restaurant and Bar. |
