MADRID (AP):

Real Madrid said midfielder James Rodriguez and defender Danilo have both returned injured from matches with their national teams.

Madrid said Danilo has broken a bone in his right foot. He returned from Brazil's two friendlies against Costa Rica and the United States.

It added that Rodriguez tore a left thigh muscle while playing for Colombia in a friendly against Peru.

Madrid didn't say when it expects either player to be fit.

Madrid visits Espanyol in the Spanish league tomorrow.
