Dear Pastor,

I must express how disappointed I am with the police. Some of them are corrupt. They take bribes and shoot innocent people. The police force needs to be cleansed. Independent Commission of Investigations needs to get serious with the police who corrupt the force. Pastor, I have one question. Why do they have a bar in almost every police station?

Dear L.B.,

Not all police officers are corrupt. Not all take bribes. Some are honourable and have good characters. It is sad when a police officer commits an offence, the whole force suffers.

I'd like officers to take heart and understand that Jamaica cannot do without them. They should lean heavily on the Lord for guidance and strength as they carry out your duties.

I don't know about a bar in almost every station. I do know that police officers need to socialise when they are off-duty. I do not see what negative effect a bar can have when police officers are not on duty.
