Star Tell Me Pastor

I divorced him, got two houses

Dear Pastor,

My ex-husband was a good and caring man. He was also good at money management but did not appreciate me.

He chose gambling as his wife. He was offered help but did not think he had a problem, so I divorced him.

I was able to buy my first house and later build a four-bedroom one.

After having two houses, I still had money in the bank as a single woman.

Dear M,

As I understand your letter, your husband was a big gambler but his gambling did not hinder him from taking care of his household.

You described him as a caring person. Evidently, the bills were paid but you could not deal with his gambling habits.

It is, indeed, regrettable that you were forced to divorce him. As you said, he did not see gambling as problem.

He was addicted to gambling and needed professional help but, to him, he had no problem.

I am glad you are doing well and hope you are continuing to pray for your ex-husband.

Perhaps he may come to his senses and seek the help you know he needs.
