Student arrested for $25,000 slippers |

André Williams, STAR Writer A University of Technology (UTech) student and her relative were arrested and charged after they were caught in a store in New Kingston last Thursday, allegedly stealing two pairs of the popular Bridgette Sandals footwear. Information reaching our news team is that both females, who are of Kingston 20 addresses, attempted to steal two pairs of Bridgette Sandals slippers valued at $25,000. Charged are 20-year-old Britney Livingston, student, and her 21-year-old cousin Reny Livingston. THE WEEKEND STAR gathered that they were held by security personnel who recovered the sandals from the bags of one of the accused. THE WEEKEND STAR understands that the two were granted station bail. They are booked to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on September 25. |
