![]() Tom Laing Reggae singer Tom Laing is pleased with the public's response to his debut EP, 'Love Is Ok'. The seven-track EP was produced by veteran musician/producer Donni Marshall and released on Laing's Top Tier imprint, through VPal, in June. "I have been getting a lot of positive feedback from music-industry insiders and members of the public about my EP. Several of the tracks on the EP are getting heavy rotation in various parts of the world including the Caribbean, the US, Canada, Europe and Africa," said Laing. The lead single, Love Is Ok, featuring Myrh-Cedez Gayle, is enjoying heavy rotation locally. The single recently entered the Foundation Radio Network Top 30 Music Chart in New York at number 30. Since then, it has jumped three places to number 27, giving Laing his second entry on the chart for 2015. His previous entry was his cover of the Gregory Isaacs original, Front Door, which topped the chart earlier this year. "I am extremely excited that the lead single from the album is doing well. It's getting tremendous airplay in Jamaica, and it also getting a lot of support in the New York Tri-State area too. I am very grateful for all the support it's getting," said Laing. He is working on a number of projects including the soon-to-be released music video for Love Is Ok. |
