GLW recording artiste Lee'tal has dropped his stage moniker in favour of his real name, Rohan Lee. The Mandeville-based deejay was recently baptised and is now a devoted servant of the Lord. "I am on a different path now. Therefore, I can no longer use the name Lee'tal to identify myself. I am now a servant of the Almighty," said the artiste. Lee said the path he is now walking was preordained. "My spiritual conversion was not an overnight decision, it's been on the cards for a very long time. "I have been getting the signs from the Father since I was a child, but I was taking too much time to make up my mind to serve him. I decided to stop holding on to the world and let go and serve God after I got a vision recently. I am very happy that I made this move. Life is so much better now in every way." Lee said his music projects will now display a new level of consciousness. He is working on a spoken-word album, Let Your Light Shine. The album is to be released later this year. Lee recently launched his non-profit organisation, Operation Good Deed, in Mandeville to help the less-fortunate in his hometown. The project was officially launched last Thursday with the staging of 'Caring Is Sharing,' a back-to-school treat at Park View Pharmacy parking lot in the town. "The treat was a tremendous success. With the help of our sponsors, were able to give the persons going back to school, supplies including school bags, pencils, pens, sharpeners, and hardcover notebooks. "The plan is to make it bigger and better next year," said Lee. |
