Latty J for US west Coast tour |

![]() Latty J Dancehall artiste Latty J is moving up the musical ladder. The talented beauty from August Town, St Andrew, placed second in the popular Rising Stars TV talent show in 2011. Shortly afterwards she was signed by dancehall star Mr Vegas to his MV Music label. Since then, Latty J has made her mark on the local music scene, releasing a handful of hard-hitting singles including Who Rule, featuring Mr Vegas, Teenie, Same Pay and Bumpa. "It's not easy to make it in the music business; you have to have a strong team and the right connections. I feel very blessed to be working with Mr Vegas and the MV Music team. Their support has helped me to make tremendous progress in my career, in a very short time, and I am very grateful for that," Latty J said. Latty J is getting attention with an anti-abuse track, No Abuse. The song, released in July on the 'Tables Turn' rhythm, has enjoyed steady rotation locally and abroad. "No Abuse is doing well. The message of this song is very important, and I want it to be heard by people all over the world," said the artiste. Latty J recently completed a month-long tour of Europe, alongside Mr Vegas, and label mate Natel. She is preparing to leave the island for the US West coast leg of the Reggae Euphoria tour. |
