Mi know di world must a wonder how we dweet and keep doing it repeatedly. It's one thing to win a race a likkle one time, but when a country dominates or "Jaminate" a sport like we have it is nothing short of amazing! However, all that greatness and even that which remains untapped will go to waste if we don't put the proper infrastructure in place.

Jamaica should have state-of-the-art facilities that will attract the world of sports to the island.

We need to boast the best stadia, tracks, physiotherapy and sports centres in order to develop sports in Jamaica because dat coupled wid entertainment a two good source from which we can "eat a food!" A we bread and buttah!

Succession plan

There are many benefits to be derived from implementing, the aforementioned and not just monetary, but the development of another Usain Bolt or Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. The Government and private sector need fi mek a concerted effort fi do something before something do we! It is all well and good when we scream, knock dutch pot cover, and bawl out we throat when dem a run, but as a country we must have a succession plan in place cause who deh pon top a represent we now will not be there forever.

Speaking of which, the coverage and the adulation needs to be spread equally among our male and female athletes. Sometimes, it seems like the media hype up di man dem ting more and put them on a higher pedestal. A di same amount a work dem put and we must ensure that it is never perceived as we a downplay dem contribution because it's both the male and female athletes who make up the total medal tally!
