Ellis to land first triple

Ellis ... tipped to win first three races at Caymanas Park tomorrow.

TITLE-chasing jockey Shane Ellis should do his bid a world of good tomorrow by landing the first three events on tomorrow's nine-race card for trainer Neive Graham and owner Oshaun Connection.

Ellis is locked on 50 winners with Robert Halledeen, one ahead of Omar Walker. The top three riders went winless on Saturday's 11-race card. Ellis, however, should get the jump on them tomorrow with what appears to be three easy winners - PROLIFIC PRINCESS, FRANKENSTORM and HOLOGRAM SHADOW.

PROLIFIC PRINCESS has not been worse than third in three starts. She was outfinished by KIRI at 1400 metres on Independence Day, losing by a length. Third-past-the-post BROWN GIRL returned to break her maiden at 1820 metres a week and a half later.

Caught and beaten close home by KIRI at 1400 metres, PROLIFIC PRINCESS should have things her way at 1200 metres. There is absolutely no matching speed to take Ellis' mount off her bridle down the backstretch, which should make her a lonely winner at 1200 metres.

FRANKENSTORM takes a plunge from $250,000 claiming for the lowest level in the second at 1100 metres. The five-year-old gelding is down in class for his second consecutive race. Last time out he placed third among $250,000 claimers, behind AUNT HILDA and INFANTRY OFFICER, at 1000 metres straight.

Prior to that run, FRANKENSTORM was fifth, chasing home outsider NUH VEX, COUNTRY TRAIN and ROCK UNION, also at 1000 metres straight, in the $350,000 claiming Grooms Association Trophy race. His previous effort was on the round course, failing by a length and three quarters to beat AUNT HILDA at 1100 metres.

Fit and sound

With those three runs in higher classes under his girth, all in a one-month period, FRANKENSTORM appears fit and sound, a banker on everybody's bet among $180,000 claimers.

HOLOGRAM SHADOW returns to the scene of the crime in the third, $350,000 claiming, the level at which he won comfortably on Independence Day, beating ST BERNARD by three and a quarter lengths.

Snapped up by Oshaun Connection for $350,000, HOLOGRAM SHADOW was pushed up in class a week and a half later. He raced prominently among $550,000 claimers before dropping out of contention as CLASSY PROSPECT closed out a hat-trick of wins.

Back among $350,000 claimers, HOLOGRAM SHADOW will have rivals chasing his shadow at 1100 metres, handing Ellis, Graham and Oshaun Connection, punters too, a rollicking start to the day.
