Two men who posed as passengers and robbed a man of his motor car were each sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.

Those sentenced were Dwayne Ebanks and Daniel Spencer, both from Portmore, St Catherine.

The men were sentenced by Resident Magistrate Natalee Brooks.

The Crown led evidence that both accused boarded a motor car at the Portmore Mall in St Catherine. Upon reaching a part of the journey, they used knives to rob the man of his vehicle.

Following an investigation, they were arrested and charged with robbery with violence and assault with intent to rob.
