Yesterday, detectives attached to the Fraud Squad of the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime (C-TOC) branch arrested and charged 52-year-old Paulette Josephs of Plantation Heights, St Andrew. Reports are that lawmen went to the premises to execute a warrant on Norman Espeut. Espeut is wanted for questioning in relation to several fraud reports made against him. He is also wanted for absconding bail in several counts of obtaining money by false pretence. Espeut allegedly ran from the house and escaped as the police approached. Josephs, who was found at the premises, was subsequently arrested. However, she made bail with a surety of $200,000, and is scheduled to appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on August 28. An appeal is being made for Norman Espeut to turn himself in to detectives at the Fraud Squad, located at 34 Duke Street, Kingston, by 9 a.m. on Monday, August 25. |
