St Ann on a roll in Kingston Wharves U-15 cricket

St Ann continued their winning ways on Wednesday, getting the better of St James by 276 runs at Ultimate Cricket Ground in the Kingston Wharves Under-15 cricket competition.

Rasheed Edwards, 117 not out, topscored, with Kevon Hinds, 75 not out, also getting among the runs.

Shamar Edwards and Demoy Baker got one wicket each. St James, in reply, were skittled out for 71 in 24.2 overs. Only Anil Braham, 13 not out, put up any resistance. Top bowler Michael Thompson bagged his second fiver (5-27-7.1) and Kevon Hinds came back to get three wickets (3-16-6).

Defending champion St Elizabeth notched a third win after defeating Clarendon at Treasure Beach by seven wickets.

Clarendon won the toss and took first strike, making 94 all out in 24.4 overs on the backs of Romain Silva, 25, and Romario Gordon, 10.

Robert Simpson collected 4 for 15 in six overs. St Elizabeth then raced to 95 for 3 in 15.1 overs with Roberto Simpson, 33, top- scoring.

Portmore defeated St Catherine by 106 runs. St Catherine were bowled out for 82 in 23 overs. Portmore then scored 188 all out in exactly 40 overs.

The match between Westmoreland and Hanover was a low scoring one which went to Westmoreland by 10 wickets. Hanover won the toss and batted, making 13 all out. Rajae Simpson bagged 4 wickets for one run.

Westmoreland got to 14 runs without losing a wicket in 1.1 overs.

Former national champion St Andrew went down to St Mary at Boscobel Primary by 19 runs after making 168 all out. St Mary, who were invited to bat, made 187 for 8 in 40 overs.
