A man was burned to death during a fire, believed to be intentionally started, which destroyed his house in Buckfield, St Ann, last night.

The dead man has been identified as 43-year-old Warren Williams.

Reports from the Ocho Rios police are that about 10 p.m. occupants saw smoke coming from a room occupied by Warren, and alerted the police and fire department.

A unit from the Ocho Rios Fire Department responded and carried out cooling-down operation. The charred remains of Williams were later found.

Investigations continue.
