Male jumps to death after brief phone conversation |

Horace Fisher, Star Writer The Clarendon police is currently investigating a suspected suicide following the discovery of an unidentified body below the May Pen railroad bridge yesterday in May Pen, Clarendon. According to reports reaching The Star, the deceased who is said to be in his early 20s, and clad in a red shirt and brown pants, came out of a taxi travelling from the Palmers Cross area into May Pen, and after a brief phone conversation, jumped from the bridge that spans the Rio Minho River and died on the spot. Passers-by who saw the body alerted the police, who responded to the distress call and removed it to the morgue. The police are also appealing to the public who may have witnessed the incident, or know the deceased, to contact the May Pen police or the nearest police station. |
