The Clarendon police are seeking the assistance of the public to locate a black Toyota Fortuner motor vehicle which was stolen in the parish on Thursday night after the owner was murdered.

The police report that about 10:20 Thursday night, a call was made to the 119 number that armed men had abducted a man in his vehicle. They responded and an hour later (11:20 p.m.) they received another call that a man was thrown from a vehicle along the Sandy Bay main road. The police then proceeded to the scene and found the body of 49-year-old evaluator Glendon Rose, who is believed to be of a Portmore address, with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Subsequent investigations revealed that Rose had gone to Clarendon to evaluate a property, and on his way out, he was pounced upon by gunmen.

One of the rear windows of the vehicle appeared to have been broken as Rose attempted to escape. When he fell to the ground, the men alighted and shot him multiple times before speeding off towards Kingston.
