Alleged murderer remanded |

|
Bjorn Burke, Staff Reporter Accused murderer, Uriel Williams, was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. The Crown alleged that on March 18, the accused and the deceased person were at a bar on Princess Street, downtown Kingston. It is said that both left and went their separate ways. Sometime later, it is alleged that the deceased was standing at the intersection of Heywood Street and Luke Lane when the accused used a knife to stab him in the right shoulder. He was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he died undergoing treatment. Following a sting operation in St Elizabeth months later, Williams was arrested and charged. Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey remanded Williams, pending a mention hearing on September 9. |
