Skin rules at Xtreme Wet and Wild

Arguably one of the most anticipated parties on the Appleton Special Dream Weekend calendar, Xtreme Wet and Wild not only pushed the limit of entertainment but also fashion, as many ladies who attended left little to the imagination.

With tickets sold out online, patrons formed long lines to get into the Kool Runnings Water Park. however, despite the huge turnout, there were no incidents. Organisers separated season band holders from those who purchased single tickets, and that decision helped to eliminate overcrowding at the main entrance.

Like much of the other events at Dream Weekend, Xtreme Wet and Wild was threatened by the inclement weather, but patrons were already dressed for water, so when the clouds released additional water from the sky it was welcomed by the revellers.

The ladies and their skimpy beach outfits provided the main attractions, as they relished the idea of pushing the limit of fashion. Many females were only covered with strings while others made sure their private area was partially exposed as if to tease onlookers.

Recording artistes like Aidonia, Elephant Man, RR, Jahmiel, Ding Dong, Ravers Clavers and Leftside as well as iconic West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle were spotted sharing in the entertainment.

The venue was quite spacious and there was no hassle to get to the food stations. However, the bars seemed to be the main target and the bartenders struggled with the crowd at times, because everybody seemed to want their service simultaneously.

Sound system Redd Heat made its debut at Xtreme Wet and Wild and was well received by patrons. They had couples gyrating to songs from Aidonia, Busy Signal, Vybz Kartel among others.

The event concluded at minutes after 8 p.m. with patrons begging for more. However, organisers did not wish to risk people staying in the pool in the absence of natural light as the lifeguards on duty could not function effectively under such conditions.
