Man beats lover with stool

Attacked after attending party

A man, who used a stool to assault his girlfriend because she went to a party and left with someone, was fined yesterday in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

Charged with assault and malicious destruction of property is Kareem Fenton.

He pleaded guilty to both offences.

The court heard that on the day of the incident, Fenton attacked the complainant with a stool while in his kitchen.

She received injuries all over her body.

The court was also told that Fenton also destroyed the complainant's cell phone.

The complainant was absent from the sitting.

Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey asked, "So you and the complainant good now?"

"Yes your honour we all right ya now," Fenton said.

He was fined $10,000 or six months' imprisonment for assault and ordered to replace the cell phone.

A fingerprint order was also made against Fenton.
