Building Block Entertainment recording artiste Stylysh is arguably one of the best new female performers in dancehall music.

The vivacious deejay recently delivered an exciting performance at a special concert that was held for inmates at the St Catherine Adult Correctional Centre in Spanish Town. Her 15-minute set included songs such as Prison Wife, Real Bad Gal, Wife a Road, No Eye Water and Hot Long Time.

"The response I got from the inmates at the Spanish Town prison was heart-warming. They loved every minute of my performance. It feels good to know that my performance brought them some amount of joy," she said.

The event, which was coordinated by popular Street promoter Stampede Lammie, also featured other female artistes, including Onesty, Nadera, Pamputae and Nubian Fusion.

"It is a good look, all the entertainers did well. I guess it's a girl power thing. There are a lot of talented female acts in Jamaica. I just wish promoters would realise that and put on more all-female events. I believe such events would be well-received all over the island," said Stylysh.

Stylysh is getting ready to release a brand-new single called Whine Like Yuh Vex. The song was produced by Jay Edge aka Jermaine Williams for Building Block Entertainment. Whine Like Yuh Vex will be released on iTunes before the end of August.
