Christopher Thomas, STAR Writer WESTERN BUREAU: The case against two St James men arrested in connection with the death of St Elizabeth resident Peter Ebanks, earlier this year, has been put off until August 24, following their latest court appearance. Marlon Shaw and Matthew Reid, both from Montego Bay, have been jointly charged with murder and wounding in connection with Ebanks' death and the injuring of another man on January 19. They were remanded in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court. It was disclosed that the medical record for the complainant would not be forthcoming, as he has reportedly been in and out of hospital following the incident. As a result, the two defendants were remanded. Ebanks was reportedly shot dead along a section of North Gully in Montego Bay at approximately 5:30 p.m. Allegations According to the allegations, Ebanks and another man were seen arguing, while the accused were seen in the same area. The accused then came from behind Ebanks and the other man and pulled firearms, after which explosions were heard. The deceased was later found lying in a pool of blood. Another man, who was wounded in the incident, later gave a statement to the police.
