Millions being won in Super Lotto

Between January and June of this year, 68 lucky Jamaicans needed just one more number to hit the Super Lotto jackpot.

Having caught five numbers, these persons still won millions in prizes. Since 2014, there have been approximately 1.2 million Jamaican Super Lotto winners of the non-jackpot prizes. These ranged from matching 5 numbers, down to one number plus the super ball.

"You gotta be persistent and keep on playing, you don't have a chance unless you try!" This was the advice given by U Dixon, the most recent Super Lotto jackpot winner, who received a handsome cheque for J$117,900,000 (US$1,020,000).

Dixon had been playing the same six numbers for over two years and his dedication certainly paid off in May, as he has now enjoying the benefits of being a Super Lotto millionaire.

Combined total

Many Jamaicans have heeded Dixon's words of wisdom, as since the start of the year 68 players missed hitting the Jackpot by just one number. However, they won a combined total of over $10 million in non-jackpot prizes. In fact, two lucky winners, each received $2.175 million during the recent Super Lotto Super 50 Bonus promotion in June 2015.

"It's good to know that so many Jamaicans are playing the Super Lotto game and that the odds are working in their favour. Many were just one number away from becoming Super Lotto millionaires. I want to congratulate all our winners and encourage them to keep playing," said an excited Sonia Davidson, Supreme Ventures' vice-president for Group Corporate Communications. "If you dream of becoming a super millionaire, the Super Lotto game gives people that chance, but players need to keep playing the game regularly as Mr. Dixon did," Davidson added.

The Super Lotto multi-jurisdictional game is the first game of its kind in the Caribbean and Latin America. Participating territories include: Jamaica, Barbados, St. Kitts & Nevis, Anguilla, Antigua, St. Maarten, the US Virgin Islands and Paraguay.
