Rasbert Turner, Star Writer A teenager who the St Catherine North police said was on their wanted list for the last three years is now in custody after he was detained twice in one day. The man was held by the police and taken into custody recently to be processed. It is reported that the suspect, who had changed his features to hide his youthful appearance, tricked investigators into thinking he was someone else. After he managed to convince the lawmen that he was someone else, the police, not wanting to violate the Jamaican constitution, released him. His freedom was, however, temporary as further investigations revealed that he was wanted for murder. The man was then recaptured by the police and placed in custody on suspicion of murder. Police investigators have withheld his name until he is questioned in the presence of an attorney. |
