Flemmings set for Waterhouse move

MARC STAMP, STAR Writer

NATIONAL Under-23 football striker Junior Flemmings is ready for a move from Tivoli Gardens FC to Waterhouse FC at the start of the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) 2015-16 season.

Flemmings, who has played four previous seasons at the West Kingston club in the nation's top flight league, is determined to change clubs."Well, I don't feel comfortable playing for Tivoli Gardens any more. In terms of management-player relationship, that really don't exist at the club," Flemmings, who has represented Tivoli in age-group and senior teams since he was 10 years-old, told STAR Sports yesterday.

He is yet to start training at Waterhouse because the National Under-23 team will be preparing for Olympic qualifiers next month.

"Right now, the focus is on the Olympic qualifiers. Then after that, I will start training at Waterhouse. I will definitely be there, at least, until next January when I will take up a scholarship to the United States of America," Flemmings added.

He also claimed that Waterhouse has made contact with Tivoli already.

However, Calvert Fitzgerald, coach of Waterhouse, told STAR Sports he had no knowledge of the move.

"I don't know who he spoke with, but this is the first time I'm hearing about it," Fitzgerald said.

Efforts to contact president of Tivoli Gardens FC Edward Seaga and manager Brian Rose proved futile.
