Jamaica-trained Zharnel Hughes and Delano Williams have been named in Great Britain's squad for next months' International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championships in Athletics in Beijing, China.

Both Hughes and Williams train with the University of the West Indies-based Racers Track Club, under the guidance of veteran coach, Glen Mills, who also conditions world 100m and 200m record holder, Usain Bolt.

Hughes, who hails from Anguilla, attended Kingston College in Jamaica before moving on to Racers, while Williams, who is from Turks and Caicos Islands, was a Munro College star during his high school years

Hughes was one of two athletes named in the British men's 200m line-up, Daniel Talbot, being the other.

Williams was named as part of the men's 4x400m pool.

Meanwhile, Olympic heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis-Hill, whose father is Jamaican, was also named in the squad.

The 29-year-old returned to action in May after having a child and competed in last weekend's Sainsbury's Anniversary Games.
