Missing seven-year-old reunited with his mother

Shanice Watson, STAR Writer

A seven-year-old Canadian boy who was found wondering along Ken Hill Drive in St Andrew yesterday has been reunited with his mother.

The boy, who gave his name as Junior Campbell, was picked up by his mother from the Walker's Place of Safety minutes after 8 p.m. yesterday.

When THE STAR spoke with the home's supervisor, Mrs Stephanie Hinds, she said, "The mother said she left the boy with a relative to go to the country and the boy wandered away from the relative's place."

The supervisor noted that she chided the mother about her carelessness.

"I told her that she should be more careful with her child and if she knows the person isn't careful she shouldn't leave her child with them," she said.

The boy told officers he is from Shoreham, Ontario, Canada.
