We chief cools with 'Fresh Lemonade'

Raggatronic collective We Chief has released their latest single, 'Fresh Lemonade', featuring reggae-dubstep artiste Jahdan Blakkamoore and Captain Planet.

The single, which music critics have dubbed the perfect summer banger, pulses with low-end bass and a driving syncopated rhythm that's perfect for outdoor barbecues, beach parties and club soirees. "The track, which is sure to be a summer anthem, was released on July 17. We will be amping up promotion of the single for the summer, so look out for it on a radio station near you," an enthused Geoffrey Rand, producer and frontman of We Chief, said.

The group, which is a new music and multimedia project launched in 2014 by Geoffrey Rand, mixes EDM-style music with beats from around the world and is heavily influenced by reggae and dancehall.

"This eclectic combination of sounds has led We Chief and it's growing tribe to coin the term 'raggatronic' to describe its sound," Rand said.

We Chief has previously released singles and videos that have been praised by Vibe Magazine, Large Up, This Song Slaps, and Magnetic Magazine.Their music has also been featured in mixtapes by prominent DJs, including Jillionaire (Major Lazer), Deejay Theory, DJ Green Lantern and more. We Chief songs have been played on international FM radio stations such as Jamaica's Hitz 92 and Zip 103 FM, as well as SiriusXM and BBC 1.

Recently, the group joined the chorus of voices supporting the legalisation of cannabis worldwide, and High Times has recently featured their track and music video for Time fi Legalise featuring Ragga Twins and Gosteffects.

"It's a great look and we love the support we have got from mixtapes and radio stations in Jamaica and from industry players all over the world," he said.
