Selector Toney Chrome is now charting a musical path as part of the Bounty Killer-led Alliance.

Having been a selector for years, Toney Chrome, whose real name is Darrion Campbell, recently went into another area of music.

"I have recorded Own Mi Own and Rate Yuh Mother. These are getting very good rotation on popular stations, and it is very encouraging, " Toney Chrome said.

The 31-year-old, up-and-coming artiste said Bounty Killer has been very instrumental in his career so far, and he intends to grow in the art form.

Born in Arnett Gardens, St Andrew, the selector-turned-artiste said it was while attending Donald Quarrie High School that his affiliation with music started as a selector.

"I am still doing the work as a selector, but now I am in production as that is how you give back to the industry," Toney Chrome said.

He told THE WEEKEND STAR he used to play at the then Asylum Night Club in New Kingston and that helped him to get a foot into the industry.

The artiste said he will remain relevant to the recording industry by doing good music for all to enjoy.
