The police have released the name of the motorcyclist who was killed on Sunday in a crash at Forty Acre, Orange Bay, Portland.

He has been identified as Wayne 'Home Boy' Williams of Anchovy Housing Scheme in the parish.

According to a police report, about 5 p.m. on Sunday, Williams was riding a motorcycle east from Buff Bay when he reportedly overtook about six other motorcyclists at Forty Acre, Orange Bay.

Williams reportedly lost control of the motorcycle causing him and his bike to fall, while sliding on the surface of the Portland leg of the north coast highway.

The bike collided with a 2003 blue Mitsubishi Outlander heading west towards Buff Bay.

The rider sustained serious injuries all over his body and his clothes ripped in several areas. His body, which was covered in blood with internal organs protruding, remained on the spot for a pro-longed period until a doctor, who later arrived, pronounced him dead.

Williams' bike was found some metres from his body, while his shoes was discovered in bushes following a search of the area.

This brings to three the number of deaths on the parish's thoroughfare since the start of 2015.
