A team of officers attached to the Kingston West Division seized one AK-47 rifle during an operation on North Avenue, Greenwich Town, in the parish on Thursday, June 25.

Reports from the Denham Town Police are that about 4:00 p.m., they were in the area when a premises was searched and the weapon found hidden under debris.

No one was arrested in connection with this incident.

Investigations continue.
