WESTERN BUREAU:

A St James woman who allegedly injured another woman with a stone during a confrontation had her bail extended until July 2, when she appeared in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court last week.

Blossom Anglin pleaded guilty with explanation to the charge of assault occasioning bodily harm, in which it is alleged that she used a stone to push onto the complainant's face, causing a wound.

When questioned by presiding magistrate Carolyn Tie, Anglin said that the incident occurred when she chastised the complainant over mistreatment being meted out to the complainant's daughter.

"She (complainant) has a seven-year-old daughter, the little girl had heated up a noodle pack, and she chopped the little girl in her face. I talked to her (complainant), and she came up in my face," said Anglin.

The court was also told that the medical certificate was outstanding from the prosecution's case-file.

"I will set this matter for mention on July 2," said RM Tie, as she extended Anglin's bail.
