Rasbert Turner, Star Writer The St Catherine South police have charged a second man in connection with murder of Nyoka Campbell and Johnoy Campbell, who were killed three years ago. The women, who resided in Glendevon, St James, were reportedly killed on their way to an athletic meet in Kingston. The second man charged is Hubert Taylor of Cooreville Gardens in St Andrew. He joins Joseph Walker, a taxi operator from Orange Hill in Westmoreland, who has already been charged. Taylor was held in Cooreville Garden on June 1, 2015. He was charged with two counts of murder. It is said that in 2012, both women left Montego Bay, St James, in a car driven by Walker. They were heading to the Boys and Girls' Athletics Championship at the National Stadium. They were not seen again, and, as a result, a missing person report was made. An investigation was launched and following a search their mutilated bodies were found in bushes near Spring Village, St Catherine. Walker was arrested and charged in December 2013, he remains in custody throughout his numerous court appearances. |
