Fried fish was the means by which a passenger arriving from Jamaica brought cocaine into the United States, via the Miami International Airport in Florida. According to the United States Customs and Border Protection officers, the fried fish was found inside the passenger's luggage during an X-ray examination. According to CBS Miami, the bellies of some of the cooked fish were sewn together and certain fish felt thicker than the rest. Authorities said they seized 2.3 pounds (1.04kg) of cocaine that was hidden inside the sea creature. The identity of the passenger was not released, but it is understood that it is a 38-year-old woman. |
