Why does grandma need a man? |
|||||
![]() Dear Pastor, My grandmother is 64 years old and a man who is 73 years old and was living in England, but is now residing in Jamaica, is visiting her. Sometimes when he visits, my grandmother would be in her room with him for the whole day. the only time she would come out of the room is when she has to make something for this man to eat. The helper told me that is how they behave, but I did not believe her. One day I went to work but had to return home because I was not feeling well and, to my surprise, my grandmother was in bed with this man. And they were giggling like little children. I knocked on the door and said, "Grandma I am home," and she said," How you come home so early?"I told her I was not feeling well. She said, "Go and lie down nuh." I went to sleep. I did not even know when the man left. I don't know if this man is married, but I am too embarrassed to ask my grandma questions about him. Grandma is a wonderful soul and I don't want her to get hurt. This man is good-looking, although he is a senior citizen. All I know about him is that he lives in a very lovely home. I have been living with my grandmother for the past five years. She has put my name on her account. She does not have a husband and she doesn't need anything. I never thought that she felt the need for a man. Pastor, do you think I should ask my grandmother about this man? L.R. Dear L.R., If you were to ask your grandmother about her visitor she might want to know why you are asking. She might tell you to mind your own business and to remember that she is a grown woman, and if she wants to have a male visitor it is not your business. On the other hand, she might tell you about him, but that depends on the type of relationship you have with your grandmother. If you question her too, much she might even tell you to get out of her place. Make sure you do not tell her that the helper informed you that the man comes there often and is always in her room. Pastor
