My Cup a My Cup Bar on Waltham Park, will tomorrow host the Kingston launch of Charley's JB Overproof Rum.

Charley's J.B. Rum, which originated in Trelawny, was first launched in the mid '90s to target persons who enjoyed the unique taste and aroma of this flavourful overproof rum and since then has attracted a loyal following among consumers in western Jamaica.

Pietro Gramegna, J. Wray & Nephew's marketing manager for white spirits, said the overwhelming popularity of the brand in the West prompted the Charley's team to take the brand island wide.

"It is time to take this brand national; it is already popular in Montego Bay, so it is now time to launch in Kingston.We have recognised that there is a demand for Charley's J.B. Overproof Rum in Kingston and St Andrew. Now, the time has come to satisfy the demand.''

The will start at 5:30 p.m. Gramegna promises it will be memorable for those who attend: "Charley's J.B. always delivers a memorable experience and patrons in Kingston will discover this (tomorrow). In addition to prizes and giveaways, we will have not one, but three special announcements to make about the brand."

Early patrons will have will enjoy a complimentary drink mixed specially with Charley's J.B. Overproof Rum.
