Patron who fails to pay liquor bill remanded |

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer A St Catherine man who was allegedly served a quantity of alcoholic beverages at an exotic club for which he failed to pay was remanded when he appeared in the Linstead Resident Magistrate's Court. He is Sean Bembridge, 27-year-old unemployed of Linstead, St Catherine. When the matter came up before Resident Magistrate Anmarie Nembhard he pleaded not guilty. Bembridge told the court that he went to the go-go club and purchased drinks for himself and the dancers. He said the barmaid charged him for more than he was responsible. Allegations are that on May 5, he went to the club and ordered liquor totalling $6,190 and refused from paying for it despite many requests. The police were called in and Bembridge was charged with obtaining credit by fraud. He is scheduled to be tried on June 8.
