Man accused of stealing liquor, TV faces trial

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer

A St Catherine man who allegedly broke into a shop and stole bottles of liquor and a television set is to be tried on June 24.

Kenroy Small, 37-year-old labourer of Guy's Hill, St Catherine, had his bail conditions varied when the matter was mentioned in the Linstead Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

As a result of the varied conditions, Small will now report to the police on Saturdays instead of Wednesdays and Fridays.

Allegations are that, on February 28, the complainant found that his business place was broken into.

It was observed that a television set and liquor valued at approximately $126,000 were removed.

A report was made to the Guy's Hill Police Station and an investigation was launched.

The police reportedly conducted a search at Small's house two days later and the television set was found.

It was subsequently identified by the complainant and Small was charged with shop breaking and larceny.
