Man charged with unlawful wounding

A man accused of wounding another was remanded when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Charged with unlawful wounding is 27-year-old André 'Jing Bang' Lennon.

Allegations are that on April 20 at about 10:40 a.m., the complainant was at a traffic light at the intersection of Barbican, Hope and Old Hope roads when the accused allegedly used a windshield wiper to burst his head before using a knife to stab him in the face.

"I already plead not guilty the last time, and I'm remanded one month now. I know the person not going come because dem try tief mi phone," the accused said in a bid to be granted bail.

In response to the accused man's statement, Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey ordered Lennon to be further remanded until June 7, pending a mention hearing.
