Her personal experiences and those faced by single mothers are chronicled in deejay Lady Ali's latest single, 'Destruction'. The song was produced by Christopher Birch.

The song has started gaining some traction on FM radio and, based on feedback, the artiste believes she has a hit on her hands.

"Destruction is based on my experience and other single mothers' experiences. The response that I have been getting are all positive, due to the fact that it is a song that many persons can relate to," she said.

Lady Ali believes the song serves as an advocate to champion the rights and respect for women in general.

"My music takes you back from a make-believe world to reality. I focus mainly on sending positive messages, through my work of art, and I always make certain that God is never left out in whatever I do," she explained.

Describing herself as one who brings versatility to the music, she believes her strength lies in what she writes and how she gets the message across in recordings.

For the Annotto Bay, St Mary native, the journey has been a challenging one for her, musically.

"My musical experiences have taught me a lot. I have been doing music for as long as I can remember but professionally for over 14 years," she explained.

Lady Ali has recorded songs for producers including Beatmania Productions, Christopher Birch, Stephen McGregor, Ward 21 and Hitmatic Records, whose CEO, Oneil 'Clarkie' Clarke, is her manager.

She has a hectic schedule as she is busy in studios working on various singles. She has a number of music videos to be released.
