Reggae singer Asfa recently released his debut album, 'Journeying'.

The 13-track album features songs such as Many Are Called, 500 Miles, Not The Life, End Of Time and Weekend Fever, with Hefla Nyah. It was released last month by Jecoliah Production, through the VP Records subsidiary VPAL Music.

Journeying is available on iTunes and other digital-music store outlets.

Asfa said Journeying is a mixture of culture songs and love songs.

"My album features a mixture of messages, sounds and grooves it has something for everyone. Some of the songs on. it are what some people would classify as culture music and some of them are love songs," he revealed.

Asfa's voice will get the attention of his growing audience but his lyrical content will keep them coming back. The album carries a modern reggae feel while staying true to the genre's traditional sound.

"We recorded most of the tracks in Jamaica and a few in the US. We did everything to make it sound as modern as possible, but we also maintained the traditional reggae feel on all the songs. I am very happy with the way it came out," said Asfa.

Asfa will kick off the promotion of Journeying next month with a trek through Europe. The tour will begin in Germany and move to Holland in July.

"Making this album was a lot of hard, and now that it's out there's even a lot more work to be done, but I am ready for it," he said.
