Arnett Gardens' Vishinul Harris

Arnett Gardens will meet Montego Bay United in this year's Red Stripe Premier League final.

The Junglists clipped Humble Lion 3-2 in a very exciting final leg semi-final match at the Effortville Community Centre in Clarendon last night to advance to the final 4-3 on aggregate. The first leg had ended in a 1-1 draw at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex in St Andrew.

Marvin Morgan was the hero for Arnett Gardens who took the lead on three occasions. They clinched victory in the 82nd minute when Morgan's rather tame shot from the edge of the box somehow went under a timid dive by goalkeeper Gariece McPherson.

Arnett had earlier gone ahead in the 22nd minute courtesy of a magnificent free kick from Vishinul Harris. Harris floated a 20-yard free kick over the Humble Lion wall and left the goalkeeper flat-footed as the ball hit the upright and bounced into the net.

The next two goals within three minutes of half-time.

Humble Lion got the benefit of a controversial penalty and Wolry Wolfe converted to level the scores in the 43rd minute. The cheers from the home spectators were then suddenly silenced by Jabeur Johnson's curving shot which went just inside the post past the goalkeeper a minute into first-half injury time.

Ricardo Cousins drew Humble Lion level four minutes after the break and the scores remained level until Morgan stunned the large crowd with the winner.

It was a deserved victory for the Arnett Gardens team which look the more positive aggregation throughout, but Humble Lion fought hard all the way and could have stolen the win in the last 10 minutes as they went close on at least two occasions when the scores were level at 2-2.
