Defending champions Scotiabank 'A' won their fourth Cable Pro/Western Sports- sponsored Business House one day five-a-side football challenge rally last Saturday at the NWC Playfield, Mona.

The bankers clipped Jamaica Broilers 1-0 in the final and walked away with $30,000. The runners-up collected $15,000.

Scotiabank 'A' won all of their preliminary matches and stopped first-time entrants Konnex 3-1 in their semi-final. Jamaica Broilers blanked Seprod 2-0 in the other semi-final and played undefeated until they lost to Scotiabank 'A' in the final.

The final was an even affair with both teams getting chances to score. Scotiabank 'A' got the lone goal in the 24th minute. Anthony Greenland whipped in a cross and Nicholas Scott held off two defenders to score.

Jeffrey Baker of Jamaica Broilers was the leading goalscorer with seven, while Nicholas Scott of Scotiabank 'A' won the Most Valuable Player award.

The 2015 Business House Five-a-side League will kick off on Saturday, May 30 with a dress parade and a double-header at the NWC playfield, Mona, starting at 2 p.m. A record 70 teams will contest the league this year.
