Dillgin focuses on 'Shining' |

![]() Dillgin Hollywood, USA, was the location for the shoot of reggae artiste Dillgin's latest video 'Shining'. The video was shot at Hahn Park in Baldwin Hills, Los Angeles. It was directed by Wendell Wellman. Hahn Park has been used as the location for a number of films, music videos, and television shows in North America. Additional scenes for the video were shot at Leimert Park in California. Films, including Boyz in the Hood and Training Day, were shot at the location. "I wanted to contrast my video for Shining with the grittiness that people are familiar with from the movies that were shot in those locations," Dillgin said. He explained the choice of director in capturing the essence of the song into visual. "After the director listened and vibe the song, he just said 'sunlight and positive energy', and that was what I wanted. I had just come out of a very dark place on so many levels when I wrote that song. It was like when some people say they were born again, and the director captured that in the video," said Dillgin. Dillgin shared his thoughts on the finished product. "Well, I am extremely overjoyed and pleased with the finished product. It captures the essence of the song, which is just light and gratefulness," said Dillgin, who is also promoting the single Weed & The Wheat/Matthew 13:30. He spoke about upcoming musical projects. "The singles I have lined up for release in 2015 are Basket To Carry Water, No Deadbeat Daddy, Overcome, and New Day, which is the tentative title for my album and which features California-based rock band Urban Classics. main focus He continued: "I have sent them out to various radio jocks over the world to get feedback on them but my main focus right now is Shining and the Weed & The Wheat/Matthew 13:30. |
