Rasbert Turner Star Writer The St Catherine North police have made a breakthrough in the murder of 12-year-old Jamelia Richards, almost a month after she was killed. The man has been identified as Kevin Anderson otherwise called 'Dave', a 28-year-old labourer of the Naseberry Grove area of Kitson Town, St Catherine. According to Senior Super-intendent of police Marlon Nesbeth, Anderson needs to turn himself in to the police. "He forms a crucial part of the police investigation. He is very important to solving the incident where a 12-year-old girl was found murdered in Williams Field district two weeks ago," SSP Nesbeth said. The senior crime fighter said that the victim was not raped. He told The Star that the case is at a crucial stage and needs closure. Meanwhile, The Star learnt that students of the Harewood Primary School where Richards attended are still traumatised. In April, residents of Williams Field, St Catherine found the decomposing body of Richards near a river in the community. |
